Judge Delilah Montano-Baca of Cuba, NM; ethical leprechaun

The Judicial Standards Commission found Delilah guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications with District Court Judge Cheryl Johnston in an effort to seek special treatment for her son
• Directed Judge Johnston she should recuse herself soon in regard to a paternity suit involving her son
• Failed to comply with the law
• Engaged in conduct bringing judiciary into disrepute
• Abused the prestige of her judicial office for personal gain
• Engaged in willful misconduct

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Mexico Supreme Court punished Delilah by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year term of probation.

As we speak (ca. June 2017), Delilah continues to sit as a Sandoval County Magistrate Judge in Cuba, New Mexico.
