Judge Ashley Harada of Billings, MT; perjurer, scofflaw

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

The Judicial Standards Commission charged Judge Harada with engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Violated rules of judicial conduct while running for a judgeship
  • Wasn’t not candid and honest when questioned about
  • Received and made partisan endorsements in elections
  • Gave false and misleading statements about her qualifications and experience during her judicial campaign
  • Employed someone as a babysitter and/or office worker before seeking office without reporting that person’s wages to the IRS
  • Made false or misleading statements to try and prevent babysitter/officer worker employee from being admitted to the University of Montana Law School due to a personal grievance
  • Lied under oath that she had employed the babysitter/officer worker [perjury]
  • Made false or misleading statements during her campaign by taking credit for two years of law experience that happened under the student practice rule and gave herself credit for 80 jury trials that took place while she was a law clerk for a federal judge and on inactive status with the Montana Bar Association
  • Improperly received/accepted endorsements from the Yellowstone County Republican Party, a GOP legislative candidate and a Libertarian U.S. House candidate on her Facebook page

Subsequently (ca. March 2020), Judge Harada admitted lying under oath under oath about a person she employed in her office and as a nanny and about claims and other actions related to her 2018 campaign.

As a direct consequence of her admitted perjury and other misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits Judicial Standards Commission recommended to the Montana Supreme Court that Ashely receive a complimentary censure.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Ashley by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Montana Supreme Court.

And lastly, why hasn’t Judge Harada been criminally charged with Perjury? Is it because the apologists sitting on the Judicial Standards Commission are of the belief that she should be held to a lower standard of conduct then everyone else in Montana?

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Ashley continues to sit as Yellowstone County District Judge in Billings, Montana.
