Former Judge Robert Gottsfield of Phoenix; ethical loser

The state of Arizona presented Robert L. Gottsfield with a law license in 1964 after he graduated from CornellUniversityLawSchool.

The Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Gottsfield guilty of the following misconduct.

During the pendency of a custody dispute involving a member of Bob’s family, he sent an email and initiated a phone conversation with the psychologist, both of which were intended to influence the outcome of the family members custody dispute.

During both communications, Bobby repeatedly referred to his judicial experience and in doing so, gave at least the appearance of abusing his judicial office.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2014), Bobby practices law in the Phoenix area.
