Judge Michael Bluff of Camp Verde, AZ; moronic slacker

The state of Arizona presented Michael R. Bluff with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law.

The Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with the law
  • Failed to act in a manner that promotes public confidence in the independence, integrity, and impartiality of the judiciary
  • Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed to perform his duties of judicial office fairly and impartially
  • Failed to perform judicial/administrative duties competently [moron]
  • Failed to act with due diligence [slacker]
  • Failed to accord to every person who has a legal interest in a proceeding, or that person’s lawyer, the right to be heard according to law [due process]
  • Initiated, permitted, or considered ex parte [one sided] communications
  • Improperly investigated facts involving pending matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2018), Mikey continues to sit as a Yavapai County Superior Court, Division 7 Judge in Camp Verde, Arizona.
