Judge Ryan Johanningsmeier of Vincennes, IN; ethical goblin

The state of Texas presented Ryan D. Johanningsmeier with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

The Indiana Commission on Judicial Qualifications has charged Ryan with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to recuse himself from a case even though his good friend was a defendant
• Failed to act in manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
• During court hearing suggested to prosecutor that he drop case pending against his good friend
• Allowed for family/social interest or relationship to influence his conduct on the bench
• Posted a photo of himself with his good friend (the defendant) on his Facebook page while court proceedings against the friend was still pending

All that is required now is to wait and see what if any punishment is visited upon Ryan by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. September 2018), Ryan continues to sit as a Knox County Superior Court judge in Vincennes, Indiana.
