Judge Jerri Collins of Sanford, FL; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee

FYI: Judge Roy Bean was an infamous Justice of the Peace and saloon owner in Texas who called himself the "The Law West of the Pecos." Roy was also affectionately referred to as the Hanging Judge.

The state of Florida presented Jerri Lynn Collins with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Mercer University Law School.

The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission has charged Jerri with engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, Jerri found it acceptable to send a domestic violence victim to jail for skipping out on a subpoena and in do

  • Jailed domestic violence victim for skipping out on subpoena
  • Blatantly violated several ethical standards of conduct
  • Behaved violently and aggressively toward domestic violence victim
  • Wasted court resources
  • Threatened to imprison man if he didn’t immediately stop taking prescription drugs
  • Acted in a biased manner
  • Threatened pregnant woman with 90 days in jail to keep her off her prescription medications
  • Repeatedly ordered litigants to name their prescription drugs
  • Used sarcasm regarding a serious case of domestic violence

In regards to threatening a man with jail if he didn’t stop taking prescription drugs, Dr. Jerri Collins told him:

  • “I don’t care if any good doctor recommends it, none, none.”

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Jerri by the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. February 2016), Jerry continues to sit as Seminole County judge in Sanford, Florida.
