Recently Gov. Deval L. Patrick was duped into appointing David Ricciardone as a Superior Court Judge. Ricciardone earned this appointment via his conduct as a reliable lackey for the political hacks running amuck in Massachusetts.
 
Before being appointed to the Superior Court, Dave was a Worcester District Court Judge. During his tenure on the District Court in 2008, Dave presided over the case of John Szantyr, an ex-priest charged with sexually violating two boys 20 years earlier.
 
In allowing the pedophile priest to escape criminal liability for his disgusting conduct, Dave the Comic had the chutzpah to dismiss the criminal charges on the laughable claim that the John the Perv wasn’t competent to stand trial.
 
This asinine ruling by Dave even though he was told by Dr. Malcolm Rogers, a competency evaluator that the Perv understood the charges against him and was capable of assisting in his own defense.
 
Unbelievably, Dave the Comic ignored Dr. Rogers’ testimony in lieu of relying on the non-expert opinions of the Perv’s brother and an ex-nurse’s aide, both of whom had absolutely no experience with competency evaluations.
 
When the prosecutor asked to bring forward five (5) witnesses who would testify they’d seen the Perv functioning without difficulty in social and professional situation, Dave the Apologist denied the request.
 
It is troubling to know that this so-called judge exhibited more compassion and concern for a celebrated child molester then he did for their victims.
 
Unfortunately, in Massachusetts ya can’t get rid of a loser like Judge Ricciardone until he is removed from the bench in a wooden robe. Put simply, the voters were duped into agreeing to lifetime appointments for judges.
