Justice Sylvia Ash of Brooklyn, NY; serial felon

 

The state of New York provided Sylvia Ash with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from Howard University School of Law.

 

FYA: Sylvia has had her significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-nine (29) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Brooklyn area was about to offer her a good paying job.

 

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Sylvia guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Arrested and charged by U.S. Attorney with tampering with a witness
  • Arrested and charged by U.S. Attorney with obstruction of justice
  • Sylvia charged with knowingly altering, destroying, mutilating, concealing, covering up, falsifying, and making a false entry in a record, document, and tangible object with the intent to impede, obstruct, and influence a federal criminal investigation
  • Knowingly and willfully conspired with others to commit offenses against the United States
  • Concealed and deleted text and email messages and wiped her Apple iPhone to seek to destroy and impair the availability of evidence that had been sought from
  • her by federal grand jury subpoenas and
  • Made false and misleading statements to federal law enforcement officers
  • Signed a false and misleading memorandum regarding millions of dollars that a CEO obtained from a Credit Union, in an attempt to obstruct and influence a federal investigation of the CEO

All that remains now is to see how long it takes Sylvia to cop a plea to reduce the amount of she’ll be spending at the Bayview Prison for Women in New York City.

 

And lastly, pending the outcome of her criminal conduct, the Judicial Commission suspended Sylvia from her position as a Justice of the Supreme Court, Kings County in Brooklyn, New York.
