Judge Dana Deshler of Columbus, Ohio;  serial crook

During the time he was appointed as a retired visiting judge by Chief Justice Thomas Moyer, Judge Dana Deshler repeatedly defrauded the State of Ohio and Franklin County (Columbus)

From June 2003 to Dec. 2004, Judge Dana Deshler billed the State 31 times to make roundtrips from his home at 1008 Willow Bluff Drive, Columbus, OH 43235 to the 10th District Court of Appeals, and billed 1.0 hours per roundtrip ($59) and collected $1,840.30 from the State.

As a resident of Franklin County, Judge Dana Deshler absolutely knew that he was prohibited him from receiving wages for the mere act of traveling to work
visiting judge from receiving travel expenses unless he/she is working in a County other than his/her residence. Patently, wages for travel within one’s resident County would also be prohibited.

Not satisfied with collecting improper compensation, Judge Dana Deshler decided to engage in multiple thefts-in-office by falsely claiming that each roundtrip took 1.0 hour.

Judge Dana Deshler lives a mere 9.9 miles from the courthouse in downtown Columbus. According to www.mapquest.com and the sworn affidavit of Larry Brown it takes a mere 15 minutes to drive to the courthouse from Deshler's home, meaning a roundtrip takes 30 minutes and the 60 minutes that Deshler falsely claimed on thirty-one (31) occasions.

The table below sets forth the serial thefts-in-office perpetrated by Judge Dana Deshler.
