► Admin Law Judge Michael Bartko of Cleveland; serial drunk

The state of Pennsylvania presented Michael Bartko with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from Capitol University Law School in Columbus, Ohio.

In one matter, Mike was found guilty for the second time of driving under the influence (DUI). This time his drunken escapade took place in Bay Village, Ohio. FYI: Bay Village is the home of Dr. Sam Sheppard who was wrongly convicted of killing his wife in 1954 and found innocent after a 1966 retrial.

Mike the Drunk was stopped by police with a blood alcohol level. Of .20, which is nearly four times the legal limit. Judge Hagan sentenced Mike to five days in jail, house arrest, a fine and probation.

The judge also ordered Mike to receive alcohol treatment and testing. It is rumored that Mike enrolled for classes at the Mel Gibson Instutute for Drunks located in West Hollywood, California.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Mike continues to be employed as a Federal Administrative Law Judge with the Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals at 200 Public Square in Cleveland, Ohio. The only caveat is that at a minimum, Mike must appear to be at least halfway sober before presiding over a Medicare matter.
