Former Judge Darrell Jordan of Houston, TX; arrogant narcissist

The state of Texas provided Darrell Jordan with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from Texas Southern University School of Law.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Darrell guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Darrell summoned to his chambers several ADAs to tell them of his displeasure with their failure to treat him with sufficient respect
  • Lectured the ADAs about criminal contempt penalties that could arise from acts "disrespectful of the court"
  • During the in-chambers meeting, Darrell referred to himself as the "king" of his court and called the ADAs "hang'em high prosecutors"
  • On at least one occasion, Darrell threatened on the record to charge an ADA with whom he
  • was displeased with contempt of court for failing to show him the proper respect
  • Failed to be patient, dignified and courteous to litigants, jurors, witnesses, lawyers, and others who were unfortunate enough to have to appear in his so-called court
  • Failed to perform his judicial duties without bias or prejudice
  • In the performance of judicial duties, Darrell’s words or conduct, manifested bias, or prejudice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits and Felons sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Darrell by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Darrell practices his so-called brand of law at 1201 Franklin Street in Houston, Texas.
