Judge David Glickler of San Marcos, TX; drunken liar

The state of New York presented Maija Dixon with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) Law School.

The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Dixson guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Dave was stopped for speeding in Hays County by Sheriff’s Deputy Travis Terreo. In his police report, Deputy Terreo noted a “prevalent odor of metabolized alcohol” coming from Judge Glickler which became much stronger as the officer spoke with Glickler.

The Deputy noted that the drunk “immediately identified himself as County Judge Glickler” and then handed him a business card that also identified him as Judge David Glickler.

After his arrest, Glickler refused to perform one of the Standard Field Sobriety tests. Subsequently, Glickler pled no contest (guilty in effect) to Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

In a lame attempt at levity, Judge Glickler laughingly claimed that even though he was innocent of drunk or driving drunk on the night in question, he decided to plead no contest because he wanted to hold himself to a higher standard. Clearly, Judge Glickler missed his calling as a Standup Comedian.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Judge Dixon by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Judge Glickler continues to sit as a Judge of the County Court at Law NO. 2 in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas.
