Retired Appeals Judge Richard Knepper of Toledo; one of the good guys

Prior to being elected as an appeals court judge in Toledo, Ohio (6th District Court of Appeals,” Judge Richard Knepper sat for many years on the Court of Common Pleas in Toledo.

Unfortunately for Judge Richard Knepper, he was selected by lot to sit on Lucas County Case No. 91-4036 involving a sham and fabricated claim for pro se attorney fees being pursued by attorney David R. Pheils, Jr.

During his time on this case, Judge Richard Knepper rendered one or more rulings that were adverse to the legal positions I had espoused. However, after my review of applicable Ohio law, I was more than willing to admit that he was right and I was wrong.

In addition to his adverse rulings against me, Judge Richard Knepper also displayed the courage and fortitude to threaten the imposition of sanctions against attorneys David R. Pheils, Jr. and his partners Dale R. Crandall (subsequently disbarred for extorition, etc.) and  Marshall D. Wisniewski as a result of their unethical conduct.
