Solicitor Christopher Forrest of Scotland; ethical gnome

The Law Society presented Christopher James Forrest with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed in duties as cash room manager or partner
  • Submitted account certificates that he knew to be inaccurate
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to maintain any records of staff training in anti-money laundering procedures
  • Failed or at least unduly delayed dispersing in excess of 350 client balances held by his firm after there was no reason to retain said sums

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. October 2019), Chris practices at 16 Marchmont Avenue in Polmont, Scotland.
