Solicitor Jonathan Green of Tasmania; dimwitted slacker

The Law Society presented Jonathan Martin Green with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Tasmania School of Law.

The Legal Profession Board of Tasmania found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in unsatisfactory professional conduct
  • Failed to administer estate in competent manner (dimwit)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Breached his fiduciary obligations to estate beneficiaries
  • Claimed entitlement to fees of $2,250.00 from estate as executor where the will contained no charging clause
  • Delayed paying invoice for money due and payable to estate
  • Delayed arranging for sale of estate furniture for over 14 months
  • Failed to return two or more calls from client
  • Failed to notify the client that house and contents insurance in respect of the property was due for renewal, resulting in the property
  • being uninsured for a period of approximately 5 months
  • Delayed in making payment of outstanding bill to Aged Care Deloraine Inc for 15 months

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Legal Profession Board punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $5,000.00.

As we speak (ca. August 2021), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law at 10 Cameron Street in Launceston, Tasmania.
