Solicitor Tang Ming Fai of Hong Kong; ethical gnome

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Tang Ming Fai with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

The Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Tang Ming Fai guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed or permitted partner from being involved in management of firm by way of signing checks from client accounts when he knew that his partner was not licensed to practice law
  • Allowed unlicensed partner to attend court hearing on firm’s behalf
  • Failed to file notification of changes to practice in respect of employment of two staff members
  • Failed to respond to Law Society letters (Screw you, said Tang!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Tang Ming Fai by gifting him with a complimentary censure and a fine of HK$62,000.00 ($7,921.00 US).

As we speak (ca. October 2019), Tang Ming Fai practices with Chan & Ho at 32-34A Dundas Street, Kowloon, Hong, Kong.
