Former Judge Rosabella Tormis of the Philippines; idiot

In one matter, the Chief Justice and 14 associate justices found Municipal Trial Court Branch 4 judge Rosabella guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in undue delay in disposition of cases (slacker)
• Engaged in gross inefficiency in handling legal matters
• Grossly ignorant of the law (idiot)
• Failed to render decisions on two cases for over 10 years
• Failed to render verdict in murder case for 5 years
• Illegally rendered decisions while suspended from the bench

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Rosabella’s First bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. She previously received two (2) complimentary suspensions from the bench for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Chief Justice ordered that Rosabella be removed from the bench.

Had Rosabella engaged in this type of misconduct as a judge in the U.S. of A. and in particular in Ohio, New York or California, she wouldn’t have been tossed off the bench. In fact, she likely would have been elevated to a higher office.
