Solicitor Kwong Ho of Hong Kong; ethical troll

The Law Society of Hong Kong presented Kwong Chi Ho with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law.

The Solicitor’s Disciplinary Counsel found Kwong guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to maintain written up books and accounts of his firm
  • Failed to deposit client’s money into the Firm’s client account without delay
  • Failed to remedy promptly upon discovery his breach of r. 3(1) of the SAR
  • Failed to deposit the client’s money into the Firm’s client account without delay
  • Compromised a proper standard of work by repeatedly failing to comply with the SAR

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Kwong by gifting him with a complimentary censure, a fine of HK$805,000.00 ($103,845.00 US) and investigative costs of HK$235,096.00 ($30,037.00).

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Kwong practices at 9 Queen’s Road Central in Hong, Kong.
