Trump calls for corporate tax cuts while Texans & Floridians suffer from
Hurricanes
On September 13, 2017, Donald “Trumporleone” Trump decided to prove once again that he doesn’t give a shit about the folks in Texas, Florida and the Caribbean that have been severely impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
To show his heartfelt sympathy for the suffering and/or non-existent suffering that corporations have endured from the effects of Irma and Harvey, The Don spewed out the following tweet at 5#36 AM on 09/13/17.
It almost makes you wanna break down and cry knowing that General Electric (GE) is suffering from a corporate tax rate of 35% despite the fact that it’s average
For the year 2014 the following Fortune 500 companies had profits and paid federal income taxes as follows.
For the year 2014 the following Fortune 500 companies had profits and paid federal income taxes as follows.
The average tax rate for 2014 for $65,000 of taxable income for a single person was 25% or $16,250. It would take the annual earnings of 384,615 persons to earn $25.3 billion. Therefore, those average middle-class Americans would have paid a total of $6.250 billion in federal income taxes for 2014.
It almost makes you wanna cry when you think how overtaxed America’s corporations are. Maybe The Don, his billionaire friends and their Congressional lackeys should propose legislation that would increase the taxes on the middle class by 15% so that Prudential, et al. would be entitled to hundreds of millions in tax reimbursement every year.
In addition, The Don and his wealthy friends may want to consider placing an additional tax on any one person or family that earns less than $100,000 of 10% to pay for the damage caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. This would benefit all of us since it would help to reduce the annual federal deficit and would not unduly burden billionaire corporations and/or our suffering billionaire class.
And lastly, The Don’s outsized compassion for victims of Harvey and Irma by way of proposing tax cuts for corporations proves once again that he totally lacks any “empathy.” Apparently, The Don believes that “empathy” is a synonym for being inconsiderate, uncaring, malevolent and/or heartless.
And lastly, The Don once again proves that he’s the Ultimate Humanitarian when it comes to expressing empathy for the victims of the horrific damage inflicted upon millions of Americans by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
