Barrister Timothy Raggatt of London, UK; ethical goblin

The Bar of England and Wales provided Timothy Walter Harold Raggatt with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Bristol School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found Timmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession
  • Conducted himself in manner that could reasonably be seen by the public to undermine his integrity
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to assist the Court in the administration of justice in that Timmy (on behalf of the prosecution):stated to the Court at the trial of Mr. Conrad Jones in August 2007 that a meeting could have taken place in Nottingham between Mr. Jones and Ms. Maria Vervoort on 2 June 2006 between 1.30pm and 3pm
  • Timmy refused to concede that such a meeting could not have taken place at that time between Jones and Vervoort
  • Timmy knew for a fact, that the prosecution had in its possession surveillance material which showed Mr. Jones was in Coventry on 2 June 2006 until 2.25pm and therefore, given it is approximately 53 miles between Nottingham and Coventry, the meeting could not have taken place in Nottingham on 2 June 2006 between 1.30pm and 3pm
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Timmy by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of £18,00.00.

As we speak (ca. April 2023), Timmy practices at 379 Hendon Way in London, United Kingdom.
