Barrister Gareth Morley of England; convicted drunk

The Law Society presented Gareth Edward Morley (GEM) with a Barristers license in 1982 after he graduated from the Nottingham School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found Gareth guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession
  • Engaged in unprofessional conduct
  • Convicted of driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 3 years

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Gareth by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and imposed a fine of £250.00 ($342.00).

As we speak (ca. June 2021), Gareth practices his brand of law with the Farringdon Chambers at 180 Bermondsey Street in London, United Kingdom.
