Solicitor Dale Stephenson of Cornwall, England; ethical troll

The Law Society presented Dale Stephenson with a law license in 2002.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Dale guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Exerted an inappropriate level of control over the management and running of the firm and its finances to the exclusion of the solicitors who were supposed to be running it
  • Received and retained monies the firm had received from the Axiom Fund when it was improper for him to do so
  • Caused or permitted the firm to become engaged in a pattern of excessive and reckless borrowing
  • Received and retained monies the firm had received from the Axiom Fund when it was improper for him to do so

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Dale by gifting him with a complimentary fine of £50,000 (US $61,120.52) and ordered to pay costs of £8,837 (US $10,802.44).

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Dale practices with Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Legal Services, Truro in Cornwall, England.
