The Law Society presented Afifa Kiran with a law license in 2011.

 

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Afifa guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Dealings of client money was not properly written up in the firms’ books of accounts
  • Held cash belong to a client otherwise than in the firm’s client account
  • Improperly held office money to the value of £10,272.25 (US $12,553.75) in the firm’s client account
  • Violated numerous mandatory client accounting rules
  • Failed to write up its dealings with office money relating to any client matter in the office side of the appropriate client ledger accounts

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Afifa by gifting him with a complimentary fine of £10,000 (US $12,228.51) and ordered to pay costs of £2,000 (US $2,444.92).
