Barrister Mark Smith of London, UK; idiotic loser

The Bar of England and Wales by Gray’s Inn provided Mark William Smith with a law license in 1997 after she graduated from the University of Bristol School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to advise a client properly on the implications of bringing a private criminal prosecution including the fact that a costs order could be made against his client subsequently made the subject of a substantial costs order
• Failed to act with reasonable competence (idiot)
• Failed to advise client there wasn’t a realistic prospect of success in pursing matter

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.  

As one would suspect, Mark  and his firm fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.cotswoldbarristers.co.uk/. Apparently, Mark and his firm decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that they would not limit their future victim pool.
