Solicitor Dean Easthope of United Kingdom; scamming loser

The Law Society presented Dean Russell Easthope with a law license in 2017.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Dean guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as an associate solicitor in the criminal law department at Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors.

  • Instructed secretary (KB) to fabricate and backdate letters, attendance notes and other documents for a file in relation to three clients (GW, JF and DB)
  • Instructed secretary (KW) to fabricate and backdate letters, attendance notes and other documents for a file in relation to three clients (JB and JW)
  • Signed quality audit reports for the files in relation to clients AJ, LG, TP, PB, LE and HC to confirm that he had carried out the corrective actions specified within the forms when he knew that not to be the case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Dean by gifting him with a complimentary 9-month suspension of his law license and assessed costs of £6,986 ($8,534.00).

As we speak (ca. August 2019), Dean practices at 85-87 Cornwall Street in Birmingham, England.
