Attorney Stephane Brun of New Brunswick, CAN; moronic slacker

 

The Law Society of New Brunswick presented Stephane G. Brun with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the University of Brunswick School of Law.

 

The New Brunswick Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Steph guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed take the necessary steps to follow up on the closing of a transaction nor did he attempt to obtain an extension of the closing date when the closing date approached
  • Failed to explain the contents of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale with respect to either Lot 1 or Property 2
  • Failed to obtain clear instructions client as to the transactions of Lot 1 and Property 2
  • Failed to provide quality legal service to his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Steph by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand, a $3,000 fine and assessed costs of $7,000.00.
