State Sen. Mike Maroney (R-WV); alleged pervert

In August 2019, Mikey was arrested and charged with soliciting prostitution. An investigation by Glen Dale police, found a cellphone number registered to Mikey soliciting sex from a local female, Cortnie Clark. Clark was arrested and charged with prostitution and operating a house of prostitution in June 2019.

A picture of Mike that was found on Ms. Clark’s cellphone that she obtained while he was soliciting sex from her was used to establish that it was in fact Mike who was criminally soliciting prostitution.

Democrats in the state senate are demanding that Mikey resign.

All that remains now is to see how long it takes for Mikey to cop a plea in order to minimize the amount of time he may have to spend in prison.

As we speak (ca. September 2019), Mikey continues to sit as a member of the West Virginia State Senate.
