TX legislator Joe Driver; certified serial thief, moron, ethical leper-con

In 1992, Joe Driver succeeded in duping the voters in the greater Dallas area into electing him to the State Legislature. Goshes and Gollies, I’m sure that they wish they had acted differently.

Ol’ Joe has been the owner/operator of an insurance agency associated with State Farm for 37 years. I’m confident that evidence Driver’s serial thefts, would lead the powers-to-be at State Farm to pray for divine intervention for the expedient demise of Driver.

The facts set forth below, all of which were gleaned from my review of public records provided by the Texas Comptroller and/or via review of online reports available at the Texas Ethics Commission website clearly demonstrateS that Joe Driver is an embarrassment to dedicated and ethical leper-cons.

Not satisfied with defrauding the overburdened taxpayers of Texas as set forth above, Ol’ Joe also found it appropriate to screw them by submitting sham costs to lease a vehicle as shown in the text box below.

2006 Car Costs – Legislative Part of Car Note

The text box below sets forth the amounts Driver defrauded his contributors via submitting sham costs for leasing a car at the expense of his unwitting contributors.

In an inept attempt to conceal his fraud, Joe ignorantly claimed that the vehicle lease costs set forth in the text box below represented the “legislative part of the car note.” Obviously, Ol’ Joe missed his calling as a standup comedian.

Sadly, it appears that the Texas Ethics Commission is awash with intellectual dwarves. It is painfully clear to this Ol’ Buckeye (Ohioan) and recent California transplant (cool it – I done got me a Green Card!) that the perfunctory functions performed by the Texas Ethics Commission could be adequately administered by any High School dropout and/or Illegal Immigrant from Mexico.

After all, the only enforcement actions taken by this impotent Commission is the imposition of a $500 fine if legislator fails to file his/her expense report in a timely fashion. Lets be honest Boyz and Girls, do ya really need to have a PhD in math from to recognize that May 4 comes before May 3?

If an Ol’ Dawg like myself from Folsom. California was able to sniff out this corruption via a review of online records at the Texas Ethics Commission (ca. 2008) one must question what in the hell the folks at the Commission are being paid to do, right?

It would be frivolous to the nth degree for the Commission to assert that they have absolutely no responsibility to root out this type of aberrant corruption. If that be true, then the Commission gives a bad name to “impotence.” Sadly it appears that the sole responsibility of the Texas Ethics Commission in enforcing the Ethics Rules is to assure that all reports are timely filed. And if not, they then impose a fine of $500 that the miscreant is allowed to pay with campaign funds pursuant to its laughable rules.

Joey’s self-serving Mea Culpa

According to massive media stories emanating from the Houston Chronicle, Associated Press and numerous others, Joe “The Thief” has admitted (ca. August 16, 2010 that he is indeed a serial thief.

Of course Ol’ Joey Baby didn’t admit to being a serial fraud prior to be exposed by reporter Jay Root of the Associated Press and/or his counterparts.

Joey’s Mea Culpa in being caught with his hands in the “cookie jar” are analogous to the late Jeffrey Dahmer admitting that he was deficient in failing to promote and/or endorse a vegetarian diet.
