Texas Sen. Jeffrey Wentworth of San Antonio; scofflaw; ethical gremlin, arrogant misfit

Sen. Wentworth has dedicated his career to stickin-it to his contributors by spending over $125,000 to lease an Infiniti/Lexus.

There are many more examples of Jeffrey's insatiable appetite for "lvin large" at the expense of others. Now when I say "contributors," I'm speaking about those folks who contribute $200 or less. Those that dispense thousand and/or tens-or even hundreds-of-thousands like Bob "The Builder" Perry of Houston, aren't making a contribution, they're making an "investment." And if that investment doesn't return a substantial dividend (500 to 1000%), then Bob the Builder and those of his ilk (FYI: Sen. Wentworth, Ilk is not a male Elk!) will change their investment strategies if ya know what I mean.

Auto Leases – Infiniti/Lexus = $141,840
  • 2009 lease payments = $10,752 =
  • 2008 lease payments = $11,847
  • 2007 lease payments = $20,544
  • 2006 lease payments = $15,495
  • 2005 lease payments = $18,700
  • 2003 lease payments = $24,593
  • 2002 lease payments = $16,976
  • 2001 lease payments = $22,933
Gifts - $57,686.50

From2000 to 2007, Wentworth spent nearly $60,000 on gifts to fellow senators and others. Some of the more outrageous (aka, unreasonable) amounts spent are:
  •       $3,618.57 in early 2000 to purchase windbreakers for fellow senators
  •       $3,491.10 for an oil painting for the Capitol in April 2000
  •       $800.00 for a gift for his chief of staff in Feb. 2005
  •       $3,951.13 – Lapel pin for George W. Bush in Nov. 2007
Wentworth – The Ultimate Traveling Man - $102,009.88

Wentworth gives a new meaning to “Travelin’ Man.” From 2000 through 2007 he spent $44,532.54 for lodging expenses and $57,477.64 for air fare. During this time he took at least 110 trips lasting at least 310 days. It is obvious that on at least one occasion he flew to Europe on Air France’s “Concord.” In addition, his arrogance knows no levels in that he appears to fly first class on many occasions. Examples of several outrageous airfares are shown below along with current roundtrip prices advertised on the Internet on April 1, 2008.
  •  Air France - $8,394.20 – 06-09-01
  • Tokyo - $5,518.70 – 07-13-06
  • $1,850.00 – Wash DC – 04-12-02
  • $1,287.50 – New York City – 07-23-01
  • $1,235.60 – Ft. Lauderdale – 11-17-07
  • $1,916.70 – Amelia Island, FL – 04-03-06
  • $1,384.20 – Memphis – 03-08-06 = $325
  • $1,543.70 – Wash DC – 02-28-06 = $388
  • $959.20 – San Diego = $369
