Attorney John Hotvedt of Kenosha, WI; thieving loser

The state of Wisconsin presented John Hotvedt with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Converted client funds belonging to the firm in an amount in excess of $173,000 (thief)
  • Wrote off client fees owed to his firm
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Established JBG Consulting Services to convert client fees to himself while employed by the firm for the purpose of advancing his own financial interests
  • Misrepresented to the firm that he would not bill or otherwise recover client fees from firm clients
  • Converted client funds owed to his law firm, by writing off client billings

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $6,309.67.

As we speak (ca. November 2023), Johnny practices his so-called brand of law with Bear Development LLC at 4011 80th Street in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
