The state of Wisconsin presented Gregory T. Amann with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

 

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Greg guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Amann’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Convicted of driving under the influence (DUI)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Greg by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Amann’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to take steps to timely ascertain that the client’s cash bond applied to only one of the criminal cases
  • Failed to order sentencing hearing transcripts
  • Failed to file motion to extend time to file notice of intent to pursue postconviction relief

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Greg by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
