Attorney Joseph Schubert of Milwaukee; convicted felon, repeater

The state of Wisconsin presented Joseph E. Schubert with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Marquette University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Joey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to meet with client as promised
  • Failed to respond to at least nine (9) client letters
  • Failed to pursue investigation of client’s matter
  • Lied to client he had prepared rough post-conviction motions
  • Failed to provide client with updated notices or copies of motions
  • Failed to respond to repeated client information requests

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Joey’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary  reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2018), Joey practices with the Schubert Law Offices at 788 North Jefferson Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
