The state of West Virginia presented Michael Paul Markins with a law license in 2001

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

Mike found it acceptable to improperly and repeatedly access the e-mail accounts of at least eight (8) attorneys without their knowledge or consent for a period of about two years.

In accessing the e-mail accounts, Mike was able to obtain confidential information including personal financial information regarding the attorneys he targeted. 

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (February 2014), Mike practices at 707 Virginia Street in Charleston, West Virginia.
