Attorney James Keenan of Fayetteville, WV; slacker

The state of West Virginia presented James W. Keenan with a law license in 1980.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to abide by client decisions
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to protect client’s interests after being fired
• Failed to notify client of receipt of client funds
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Timmy!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. October 2016), Jimmy practices with Kennan & Associates LC in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
