Attorney Heidi Sturm of Fairmont, WV; ethical goblin

The state of West Virginia presented Heidi M. Georgi Sturm with a law license in 2003.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Heidi guilty of the following misconduct

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to explain matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Accepted compensation for client from someone other than client
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to protect client’s interests after being fired
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Heidi by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Heidi practices at 301 Adams Street in Fairmont, West Virginia.
