Attorney Edward Kohout of Morgantown, WV; congenital liar, loser

The state of West Virginia presented Edward Raymond Kohout with a law license in 1987.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Eddy guilty of the following misconduct.

Eddy found it acceptable to make false representations when he applied to be admitted to the West Virginia State Bar. On his application, Edward was asked:

“Were you ever suspended or expelled from a college, university or law school?” Eddy knowingly lied because while he was attending Samford University Law School in Birmingham, Alabama he was suspended for stealing two books from the Law School.

Eddy’s application for readmission to the Samford Law was denied when the school discovered he had stolen other books and that he was dishonest during a disciplinary proceeding at the school.

Subsequently, Eddy applied to night school at Duquesne Law School; however, in his application he made no mention of being suspended at Samford. Eddy then transferred to the University of Pittsburgh Law School; however, he again failed to mention his suspension at Samford. He also lied on his application that he was ever the subject of a disciplinary action.

In another matter, the Bankruptcy Court suspended Eddy’s license to practice in that Court because he had engaged in a series of improper acts.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Eddy by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2013) Eddy practices with the Law Offices of Edward R. Kohout PLLC at 235 High Street in Morgantown, West Virginia.
