Attorney Ellennita Hellmer of Falls Church, VA: ignoramus, slacker

The state of Maryland presented Ellennita Muetze Hellmer with a law license in 2015 after she graduated from Washington & Lee University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Ellen guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide competent representation (ignoramus)
• Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Knowingly failing to disclose facts necessary to correct a misapprehension
• Failed to adequately communicate with her client
• Failed to return any portion of the fees and expenses paid in connection with the client immigration representation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Ellen by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Ellen practices her so-called brand of law with the Falls Church Immigration Clinic at 100 North Washington Street in Falls Church, Virginia.
