Attorney Harry Mulford of Centreville, VA; greedy loser

The state of Virginia presented Harry William Mulford with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Richmond Law School.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary found Harry guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to adequately explain his fees
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Neglected his duties as a trustee
  • Failed to maintain proper records
  • Court ordered his removal as trustee
  • Improperly paid himself $75,000 as trustee
  • Mismanaged trust assets
  • Refused to provide full and accurate accountings to the beneficiaries as required by the trust agreements and his ethical obligations
  • Failed to report $75,000 trust account withdrawal on his personal tax return or on the trust’s tax return
  • Failed to provide brokerage statements to beneficiary
  • Hired his father’s brokerage firm to invest large portions of the trusts' funds
  • Used margin trading to invest trust assets
  • Ordered by court to refund the $75,000 in fees + interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Harry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Harry practices at 15109 Lee Highway in Centreville, Virginia.
