Attorney Corey Nicholson of Richmond, VA; imbecile

The state of Virginia presented Corey Martin Nicholson with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Harvard University Law School.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary found Corey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (imbecile)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to file trial transcript with appellate court on client’s behalf
• Negligence in failing to file trial transcript led to dismissal of client’s appeal
• Failed to advise client his appeal had been dismissed

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Corey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
