Attorney John Burke of Castleton, VT; ethical elf

The state of Vermont presented John Downes Burke with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Boston University Law School.

The Vermont Professional Responsibility Board found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)
• Engaged in intentional obstruction of the disciplinary process
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to return numerous calls from client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Vermont Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2014) Johnny practices at 21 Preston Lane, in Castleton, Vermont.
