Attorney Chase Hansen of Ogden, UT; ethical dwarf

The state of Utah presented Chase Hansen with a law license in 2014 after he graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) School of Law.

In one matter, Chase was forced to resign as a Deputy Utah County prosecutor for engaging in the following misconduct.

• Received free Utah Jazz tickets from defense lawyer who appeared as defense counsel
• Engaged in a conflict of interest by accepting gifts from defense lawyer who appeared on the opposite side of criminal cases that Chase was prosecuting

And lastly, it appears that the enablers for Attorney Misfits at the Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court have decided that the conduct set forth above doesn’t qualify as being unethical.
