Attorney Alan Stewart of Salt Lake City; ethical dwarf

The State of Utah presented Alan R. Stewart with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Idaho Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Alan guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client properly
• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Initially provided false information re: overdraft of trust account
• Failure to supervise employee led to embezzlement of client funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Alan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2016), Alan practices with the Law Office of Alan R. Stewart at 1366 East Murray-Holladay Road in Salt Lake City, Utah.
