Attorney James Chapman, Jr. of Fredericksburg, TX; Certified Dumbo

The state of Texas presented James R. Chapman, Jr. with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Texas Tech University Law College.

A panel of the district 15-B Grievance Committee found James guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, James found it acceptable to undertake dual representation of co-defendants in a civil lawsuit. Making matters worse, Jimmy failed to make full disclosure to the co-defendants or obtain their consent to the joint representation. He also filed to timely withdraw from the improper representation.

Apparently, Jimmy the Dumbo skipped the class on the meaning of “conflict of interest” while attending SMU.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished James by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. .

As we speak (ca. October 2013) Jimmy continues to practice in the Fredericksburg, Texas area.
