Attorney Linda Brandmiller of San Antonio; ethical troll

The state of Texas presented Linda Alice Brandmiller with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

The District 12 Grievance Committee found Linda guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with clients
• Failed to maintain client’s funds in a trust account
• Practiced law under an improper trade name
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Linda by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians on the Texas Supreme Court failed to mete out any meaningful punishment to Linda.
