Attorney Susan Wright of Dallas; ethical goblin

The state of Texas presented Susan Elizabeth Wright with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Law.

The District 6^th Grievance Committee found Suzie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected family law matter entrusted to her
• Failed to appear at scheduled hearing on client’s behalf
• Negligence led to client’s matter being dismissed by the trial court
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to promptly comply with client information requests

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Suzie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
