Attorney Linda Aland of Dallas; ethical elf

The state of Texas presented Linda Bess S. Aland with a law license in 1972 after she graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) Law School.

The 68th District Court of Dallas County found Linda guilty of the following misconduct.

• Made changes to settlement agreement not agreed to by the parties
• Submitted sham settlement agreement to trial court
• Lied to trial court that settlement agreement agreed to by all parties
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Linda by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. August 2018), Linda practices at 8222 Douglas Avenue in Dallas, Texas.
