Attorney Robert Areche Jr. of San Antonio; cheating loser

The state of Texas presented Robert Areche Jr. with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Texas Southern University Law School.

The 131st District Court of Bexar County found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Over two-year period retained settlement funds lawfully belonging to numerous clients
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit or misrepresentation
  • Lied to client’s settlement funds being withheld to pay client medical bills
  • Rather than pay client medical bills with settlement funds he received, Clarence spent the money for personal purposes
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Committed a serious crime, or committed any other criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects
  • Failed to explain the matters to the extent necessary to permit his clients to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to advise client she would be personally liable for any medical bills that Clarence failed to pay out of settlement funds he received
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Bobby practices at 306 East Cevallos in San Antonio, Texas.
