Attorney David Melnyk of Irmo, SC; slacker, loser

The State of South Carolina presented David W. Melnyk with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with his client
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Failed to surrender client property and papers upon being terminated
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to appear at bankruptcy hearing on client’s behalf

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

And lastly, as one would suspect, Davey fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.davidmelnyklaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this highly relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.
