The state of Pennsylvania presented Edward James with a law license in 2002.

 

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Eddie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate in writing basis for his fee
  • Failed to respond to opposing counsel discovery requests
  • Court ordered client’s to pay $3,272 in sanctions because Eddie had failed to respond to opposing party discovery requests
  • Failed to advise client of court-ordered sanction
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests upon firing
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary censure. 

 

As we speak (ca. March 2016), Eddie practices at 1243 Liberty Street in Franklin, Pennsylvania.
