Attorney David Celuch of Portland, OR; slacker, loser

The State of Oregon presented David J. Celuch with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the Northwestern School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Improperly used an earned-upon-receipt fee agreement without required disclosures
  • Failed to deposit unearned fees into trust
  • Failed to deposit and maintain client funds in trust until earned or expenses incurred
  • Failed to promptly deliver to the client any funds or other property that the client is entitled to receive
  • Davie’s fee agreement pertaining to the representation of his client did not contain the requisite disclosures
  • that pertain to an earned-upon-receipt fee agreement as required by the rules
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with his client in a timely manner
  • Failed to preserve client property
  • Davie’s client suffered actual injury in the form of anxiety and frustration that she experienced as a result of Davie’s failure to adequately communicate with her or work on her legal matters

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Davey practices his so-called brand of law at 1318 SW 12th Avenue in Portland, Oregon.
